Page 5 - Data collected during a demonstration are used to assess the performance of the technology, the potential need for pre- and post-processing of the waste, applicable types of wastes and media, potential operating problems, and the approximate capital and operating costs. Demonstration data can also provide insight into long-term operating and maintenance costs and long-term risks. Technologies are selected for the SITE Demonstration Program through annual requests for proposals (RFPs).
